UK-Based Training & Certification for Engineers
Introductory Courses
Studer is offering free half-day "
Introduction to Vista
" and "
Introduction to OnAir
" operational training sessions on the acclaimed digital consoles at the Soundcraft Studer premises in Hertfordshire, UK, including the new Vista 9, Vista 8, Vista 5 and OnAir 2500 and OnAir 3000 desks. The training will be particularly useful for freelance engineers, and also for in-house engineers with little or no experience on the Vista or OnAir platforms.
The courses are normally conducted by independent engineer Micky Curling in the dedicated demo studios constructed last year in the Potters Bar premises. Attendees will be given training and the chance to get hands-on experience on the multiple consoles installed in these studios. The training is held in small groups of no more than 6 people to ensure everyone gets sufficient time to learn the facilities of the desks.
All attendees will be offered lunch, as well as morning and afternoon refreshments, and will also be given a short tour of the impressive Harman production facilities where Studer consoles are now manufactured, and be able to view consoles and tape machines from both Studer and Soundcraft’s past, dating back to the 1950’s.
Factory Certification
For those wanting detailed training and factory-certification, Studer will shortly be offering full-day courses on the Vista series of consoles. There are 2 levels currently planned:
Vista Foundation
includes product overview, Vistonics and general operation, connector with 3rd party networks including Optocore and Aviom, and integration with Riedel’s RockNet and MediaNet.
Vista Intermediate
includes more advanced topics such as detailed presentation of the DSP, I/O formats, Virtual Vista remote control and system redundancy.
Lunch and refreshments and tours are also included in these free courses.
