UK-Based Training & Certification for Engineers
Studer offers free half-day
"Introduction to Vista"
operational training sessions on the acclaimed Vista digital consoles at the Soundcraft Studer premises in Hertfordshire, UK, including the new Vista 1, Vista 5M3 and Vista 9 consoles. The training will be particularly useful for freelance engineers, and also for in-house engineers with little or no experience on the Vista consoles. Experienced operators may wish to take advantage of seeing some of the new features noted below.
The courses are normally conducted by an independent sound engineer in the dedicated demo studios in Potters Bar. Attendees will be given training and the chance to get hands-on experience on the multiple consoles installed in these studios.
As well as a basic overview of the Vista operation, attendees will also learn about the exciting new features available, which include:
– automatic mic mixing which really makes a difference for unscripted shows with multiple open microphones.
– how world-class Lexicon effects processing such as reverbs and may now be integrated with Vista consoles.
Vista Compact Remote
which allows real-time control of a Vista console from remote locations.
The training is held in small groups of typically no more than 6 people to ensure everyone gets sufficient time to learn the facilities of the desks.
All attendees will be offered lunch, as well as morning or afternoon refreshments, and will also be given a short tour of the impressive Harman production facilities where Studer consoles are now manufactured, and be able to view consoles and tape machines from both Studer and Soundcraft’s past, dating back to the 1950's.
For those wanting detailed training and factory-certification, Studer will shortly be offering full-day courses on the Vista series of consoles. There are 2 levels currently planned:
includes product overview, Vistonics and general operation, connector with 3rd party networks including Optocore and Aviom, and integration with Riedel’s RockNet and MediaNet.
includes more advanced topics such as detailed presentation of the DSP, I/O formats, Virtual Vista remote control and system redundancy.
Lunch and refreshments and tours are also included in these free courses.
