Studer OnAir 2000 Modulo at Radio Nova
October 09, 2009
Radio Nova, Finland’s largest commercial radio station, has installed a Studer OnAir2000 Modulo digital mixing console in its studios in Helsinki. The console will be used for production and as an on-air back-up, and was chosen, according to Technical Producer Pekka Timonen, because “the strength of the Studer OnAir 2000 is the analogue control philosophy – it is easy to learn, the surface of console is logical and the use of the console is easy and smooth. Also the RCS automation works over a simple serial control link, not with relays like some of the competition”.
Timonen continued “ The console has proved its reliability from the beginning, after the cables were installed everything was perfect. The feedback from the end users, mainly journalists, is 100% positive, they have all found the console easy to use”.
More than 1,000 of Studer’s OnAir 2000 and OnAir 1000 consoles have now been sold worldwide, and at IBC2003 Studer extended this highly successful range with the launch of the OnAir 500 and the OnAir 3000 consoles to offer the widest choice of digital broadcast consoles available from any manufacturer.
