Taiwan's public television service, PTS, has invested in its first large-format digital audio mixing console. Staying loyal to the Studer brand which has served the station well since its first days of operation, PTS has chosen a Studer Vista 8.

The new console is part of the general refurbishment of a programme production studio, and replaces a retiring analogue desk. PTS has been using a number of Studer 963 and 928 type consoles for several years, but this is the first purchase of a Vista Series console, although there are several such digital consoles already in use in the Taiwanese television industry.

Two Vista 8 digital consoles are also being used at the National Theatre in Taipei.
