The OnAir 500 is perfect for smaller radio stations looking for an easy upgrade route from analogue to digital, for new broadcasters setting up an all-digital infrastructure from scratch and for established broadcast centres requiring occasional spare capacity for special programmes and outside broadcasts.

Studer extends its range of digital on-air consoles with the OnAir 500. The OnAir 500 offers 6 channel faders and 2 master faders and an integrated input router giving utmost flexibility to the operator at a very attractive price. All important information like source label, output bus assignment, cleanfeed and talkback activation, equalizer and dynamics operation are displayed in the channel display of the fader strip, thus leading to easy operation and a fast learning curve.

The console is equipped with two 30-segment LED stereo bargraph meters, each including an additional phase correlator. Two separate timers and a PFL loudspeaker are also provided.

Signal processing includes a three-band equalizer and dynamics functions like compression, limiting and gating. These are topped with a Lexicon effects processor making the Studer OnAir 500 a versatile production tool.

A comprehensive studio and control room talkback and monitoring system allows integration of the Studer OnAir 500 into a variety of studio set-ups.

The Studer OnAir 500 features an integrated power supply with the possibility of 24 VDC operation for mobile applications, e.g. in an OB van. Moreover, the unit can be operated in a first-level power supply redundancy mode by powering it with AC line voltage and simultaneously with a 24 VDC source.
